On the weekend of the 12th May, five of our team took part in a 35 mile walk to raise funds for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation. Over two days, Caroline, Bridget, Vicki, Rachel and Lisa trekked across the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District to help raise funds for this amazing cause which has been supporting those in need since 1992 by awarding grants to charities registered in the UK.
The foundation’s main focus is on children and young people who have special needs through illness or disability, or are disadvantaged in other ways. The Charitable Foundation also supports the Hospice Movement and charities that support people with cancer and those experiencing mental health issues.
In total our girls raised an incredible £865! We’ve yet to get the final figure raised by everyone who took part in the Big Walk and we’ll update the page as soon as we know!
