Stephen Smith, with over 40 years of experience in the financial services sector, now serves as the Managing Director at Smith Eliot Financial Management. Stephen has transitioned from his role as a Financial Adviser to focus solely on managing the firm. Stephen's leadership is instrumental in guiding the company's strategic direction and ensuring the highest standards of service for clients.

Lisa started working as a financial adviser over 30 years ago, initially specialising in mortgages before moving into providing full financial advice. In 2000, she joined St. James’s Place Wealth Management and has never looked back. In 2012, she moved to Rutland to join the Smith Eliot family business.
Rosie Bent

Rosie Bent joined Smith Eliot Financial Management in November 2017 and has since become an integral part of the team. As the Operations Manager, Rosie ensures the smooth running of the business by overseeing compliance, managing marketing materials, and maintaining high-quality service for all clients.

Mortgage Operations Director
Jonny, Stephen's son, has been at Smith Eliot since 2016. In the role of Mortgage Operations Director, he collaborates closely with the advisers to ensure the delivery and maintenance of a high level of service. Jonny also manages the Smith Eliot financial accounts, overseeing all financial operations to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. His dual responsibilities highlight his dedication and versatility within the company.
Helen Totaro
Executive Assistant
Helen has worked within financial services for over 20 years. Along with being the first point of contact when you walk through our door, Helen provides the company with all types of administrative support and is the point of contact for many of our clients. Helen is a valuable member of the team, ensuring the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis and liaising with clients to ensure all queries are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
Suzanne Carter
Executive Assistant
Suzanne has worked in the Financial Services Industry for just over 20 years and prides herself on excellent customer service. Suzanne has an extensive knowledge of St. James’s Place, the services we provide and the industry itself. Suzanne provides Lisa with all types of administrative support and expertise and is the point of contact between Lisa and all of her clients to ensure that all queries are dealt with efficiently.
Jack Lewin
Paraplanner
Jack has worked at Smith Eliot since 2021, initially as an administrator in the mortgage team before progressing to Paraplanner in the Pensions and Investments team in 2023. He works closely with Advisers to ensure that we provide our clients with a professional service. Jack deals with technical queries, report writing, collating and analysing information from external providers in order to ensure that Stephen and Lisa have all of the information they need to deliver holistic and suitable advice to our clients.
Brandon Snoad
Financial Administrator
Brandon has been working for Smith Eliot since February 2024 and as part of the administrative support team, works with the paraplanners to ensure our financial advisers have the key information needed to give thorough, holistic advice. This includes speaking with external providers on a daily basis, obtaining information, conducting fund analysis reports and liaising with clients. Brandon is working towards his Diploma qualifications and is training to be a paraplanner.
