FPFS Cert CII (MP & ER)

Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Lisa started working as a financial adviser over 30 years ago, initially specialising in mortgages before moving into providing full financial advice. In 2000, she joined St. James’s Place Wealth Management and has never looked back. In 2012, she moved to Rutland to join the Smith Eliot family business.

Lisa loves to meet with new and existing clients, finding out exactly what they are looking to achieve and doing her utmost to make it happen. She very much believes in building long-term trusted relationships and being available when her clients need her, even if this is at a weekend or in the evening. Lisa believes understanding tax and tax efficiency is key to efficient planning, whether it be retirement and investment planning or passing wealth to the next generation and mitigating inheritance tax; this is always something Lisa focuses on when writing plans for her clients.

Different clients like to receive financial advice in different ways, and some who are more analytical or like seeing their finances depicted with interactive graphs and charts may benefit from cash flow modelling, and Lisa is pleased to offer this option to her clients. With cash flow modelling, we can look at any number of different scenarios: what would happen to a client’s financial position if they do nothing, take action, or what could happen, for example, if there was a stock market crash, thus enabling us to build a more resilient financial plan. We continue to use this plan during future reviews as a financial roadmap and amend it with a client’s changing needs.
